Your recordings stay on your device

Your screen, camera and microphone are processed in your browser. Recordings are never uploaded. They exist only in this tab until you download them.

Your script stays on your device

Scripts and reader settings are saved in your browser's local storage so they're there next time. They are never sent to us. You can clear them from the script step.

Background removal runs locally

The background removal model is downloaded from this site and runs in your browser. Camera frames are not sent anywhere.

Anonymous usage statistics

We count anonymous product events, such as "recording started" or "recording downloaded", to learn whether Recvela is useful. We use PostHog for this. Events are linked to a random ID stored in your browser, not to your name or email. They never include your script, your recording or what's on your screen. PostHog also records basic technical details such as browser type and screen size, and may use your IP address to estimate your country. Clearing your browser's site data resets the ID.

Feedback

If you send feedback, we receive the category and the text you write, together with the same anonymous ID. Don't include personal details you don't want to share.

Waitlist and quick survey

If you join a waitlist, we store your email address so we can email you once when that feature launches. At a few moments, such as after a download, after an error or when you cancel setup, we may ask a short optional question about your experience, the features you want and whether you would pay for a Pro version. Your answers are stored with the same anonymous ID, together with basic details of what you were doing (for example which screen you were on, whether your camera was on, and how long your recording was) so we can fix problems. They never include your script or your recording.

No account

Recvela has no sign-up. We don't collect names or payment details, and we only have your email if you join a waitlist.
