How to record your screen online
- Open Recvela in desktop Chrome or Edge and press Start Recording.
- Choose what to share: a browser tab, a window or your entire screen.
- Turn on your camera and microphone. Both are optional. Your camera appears as a bubble you can move and resize.
- Record. Press Start recording, get a 3-2-1 countdown, and pause or resume whenever you need.
- Download. Press Finish, watch it back, and save the video to your computer.
Private by design
Recvela records in your browser. Your screen, camera and voice are processed on your own computer, and the video is saved straight to your downloads folder. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
There is no account, so there is no profile, no email and no password to manage. Your script is kept in your browser so it is there next time, and you can clear it at any time.
What you need
- Desktop Chrome or Edge. Phones and tablets cannot share their screen from a browser, and other browsers are not supported yet.
- A quick download at the end. The recording stays in memory until you download it, so save it before you close the tab. Keep takes under about 30 minutes for now.

Is Recvela really free?
Yes. Recording and downloading are free, with no account and no watermark.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Recvela runs in desktop Chrome or Edge. There is no app or browser extension to install.
What format are the videos?
MP4 in recent versions of Chrome and Edge. Where MP4 recording is not available, the browser saves WebM instead.
Where are my recordings saved?
Only on your computer. The video is recorded in your browser and saved to your downloads when you download it. It is never uploaded.
